The Queen and the Royal Family traditionally spend August and September at Balmoral Castle in the Scottish Highlands. 

The Castle is Her Majesty's private residence and is located on the Balmoral Estate, a working estate which aims to protect the environment whilst contributing to and forming an integral part of the local community.

August's Focus celebrates Balmoral Castle and the Estate with a gallery of images dating from the early 1900s.
