The summer opening of the State Rooms at Buckingham Palace, 29 July - 29 September 2008

Each year Buckingham Palace, The Queen's official London residence, is opened to the general public for the summer months whilst Her Majesty is in Balmoral.
The State Rooms form the heart of the working palace and are lavishly furnished with some of the greatest treasures from the Royal Collection - paintings by Rembrandt, Rubens, Poussin and Canaletto; sculpture by Canova; exquisite examples of Sèvres porcelain; and some of the finest English and French furniture.
Each year, a special exhibition is held in the State Rooms during the summer opening. This year's exhibition is 'A State Banquet'. Visitors will be able to see the Ballroom set up for a State Banquet.
